Today was a pretty cool & exciting day. Filled with all kinds of experiences. So we did some errands around town. While we were in a shop that sells Bibles. There was a man who came in looking for answers basically. Researching different religions. So Scott showed him different things in one of the translations of the Bibles, he had many questions. Then we found out back in the 80s he studied with a missionary couple who unfortunately were killed in a bus crash with other missionaries traveling. But he welcomed to study again. It was really neat. Then we went to the top of Gold Crest Hotel, the view of city is beautiful. While we were at the restaurant at the top, there was a group of people sitting around having an interview. We asked the waitress, she said they were Christian Bella & Malaika band. When they were finished they passed us & said hey how are you in English. So we greeted them back in Swahili & their mouths dropped & they came back and wanted to take a picture with us. Haha. So then we went to Masai market & became friends with a couple of sellers. They made us a couple of bracelets but still gave us mzungu price so we said we aren't Wazungu, we live here & know Swahili. In the end they gave us good bracelets as zawadis. So then we ended our long day eating at Tilapia. Beautiful restaurant on the lake. While we were sitting waiting to go....a bat flew into me!! A fruit bat!! I'm like really? Craziness.
