We needed a Fundi to bring a drill & put some screws in our wall so we could hang some photos. One huge hole in our wall & we put a stop to it 😂

Kisiwa : Island

"So we visited one of the islands in the middle of Lake Victoria. The islands of Ukerewe-the one we visited was Nansio. There they have a congregation of about 40 publishers. We went for a few days to build up the congregation & attend the assembly there. Those who can imagine growing up in a small town, the feel of it. Feels comfortable, but everyone knows eachother basically or knows of eachother. So when that happens people get tired of hearing the message we share with people. The territory can get dry. But when they see wageni (visitors) from all over the world come who are preaching the same message, they know that there are Jehovah's Witnesses around the world not just on their small island. So this obviously is an important message they need to hear.
We had some great experiences preaching. Whether or not anything will happen I just leave to Jehovah. I was in service with a brother & this one door the baba came to the door smoking. We went in, this house, dirt floors, dark, few chairs & sofa in the front. He had 3 girls. One named Neema, I remember her because she ran up to me & grabbed my hand & smiled re big & didn't leave my side until I left. So we go & sit & the brother motions for me to talk. Normally he would talk to the guys & I the girls but obviously he felt it would go better with me. So I give him the newest magazines the Watchtower
"Unaweza kuielewa Biblia"
"You Can Understand the Bible & the Awake
"Kudumisha Amani Nyumbani"
"Maintain Peaceful Home"
The Awake was tucked in the Watchtower. So he was flipping through them as I was talking & the brother with me. Then he stops when he sees the Awake. He starts looking through the pages. He looks at the brother & says, "How did she know that I needed this? " then he presided to explain how his wife had left him & his children & so we read him some scriptures & invited him to come to the assembly. We also told him at the K.H he could get some more literature on how to train kids to be obedient & respectful.

The group of us who went rented bikes for 3,000 shillings for 24 hours-thats $1.50 American money

They had a little tafrija (get~together) for all of us who came to visit. Then someone cooked for all those who attended the assembly. Everyone received a plate of beans & rice! Hospitality is amazing.

Elephant Orphanage!!!!

It was really cool seeing these baby elephants! Even though I only got to touch an ear of one of them lol. Seeing their personalities, how they helped eachother out. One was stuck in a mud puddle & the other one came and pulled him out by his trunk. It was just really neat. Gives a slight glimpse into what the paradise will be like.

Giraffes!!!
I think I liked interacting with the giraffes more. Super sweet & we got too feed a baby named Kamata. Adorable.

Bethel Branch! Even though we went too late for a tour, our friends showed us around a little. Beautiful paintings of the hope we have of the paradise.
